Established in 1995, the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development is a private, non-profit organization committed to supporting Qatar’s transformation into a knowledge-based economy. The foundation promotes education, research, and community development through various programs and initiatives.
The Family Consulting Center “Wifaq” was established in 2002 in the State of Qatar to strengthen marriage and family bonds while reducing family breakdown. The centre provides specialized preventive and therapeutic services through a team of qualified consultants and counsellors. Since 2013, it has been operating under the Qatar Social Work Foundation, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family.
The Empowerment and Elderly Care Center “Ehsan” was established in 2002 in the State of Qatar and operates under the Qatar Social Work Foundation, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family. The center aims to promote recognition of the role and contributions of the elderly in social, economic, and cultural development. It focuses on empowering senior citizens, encouraging their active participation in society, raising awareness of their rights, fostering intergenerational communication, and emphasizing the role of families in elderly care.
Shafallah Center provides educational, rehabilitation, and employment services for persons with disabilities in Qatar, empowering them through professional training and partnerships with public and private institutions.
A private institution operating under the Qatar Social Work Foundation and affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family. The center provides care, education, and rehabilitation for blind and visually impaired children over the age of three. Its programs aim to develop independence, life skills, and academic capabilities, supporting the full inclusion of individuals with visual impairments in society.
The Qatar Social Work Foundation was established in August 2013 as a non-profit developmental institution to enhance and support civil society organizations operating under its umbrella. The foundation operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, which oversees its governance and that of its affiliated centres.
The foundation is dedicated to social and human development, serving the Qatari community through specialized centres focused on family stability, orphan care, child and women protection, youth empowerment, disability rehabilitation, elderly care, and behavioural health support.
